This time it’s my husband. He has been running a fever between 99.8 and 100. He’s going early AM tomorrow to get tested. We’ll have the results within 1 or 2 days. Till then, we’re isolated. He’s upstairs. I’m downstairs. I leave what he needs on the stairs. We text all day and night long.
Geeze, we haven’t gotten any luck, have we??
I’ll keep you guys posted. All I can say right now is “ugh!”
Cindi, my prayers are with you.

Just the grocery store. And Home Depot. And tractor Trailer. And he chats with the mail person, the UPS guy, The Fed Ex Guy. He’s careful. Wears a mask. But who knows. Say a prayer he tests negative. Ugh.

His fever broke. It’s down to 98.6. Thank the Lord. We’ll have the test results in 2 days. The test was self administered. Weird. And they’ll notify him by the internet. Amazing.

Thanks Lara. We’ll know in 2 days. Meanwhile he’s upstairs. I’m downstairs. I leave his meals on the stairs. We’re both wearing our masks. This has been a difficult year for me. And it’s only June!!!! Ugh.

I so understand DIFFICULT ! Is a fever the only symptom, he is having? Lara

Chills, Runny nose. He was very tired a few days ago. He says he feels fine but I’m certain he doesn’t want to worry me. The fever broke BUT it fluctuates. He got tested bright and early this morning. Now, we wait. And isolate.

I can sense your fears with this. However, remember that your SIL also had covid symptoms and did not have it. You sound like you have been doing everything that is in your control to not contact this illness and that’s a good thing. This is a huge help towards not getting this. However, the worry takes the appreciation out of ordinary everyday life when we are on constant high alert about the what-ifs. We can only do so much and leave the rest. Diane

Thanks Diane. It is because my SIL had a fever but came back negative is what is giving me hope right now. I realize that DH and I have done our best. Now, it’s up to God and good luck! Thank you for your comment.
