This has to be my saddest photograph of the summer:

Our pool has been taken down and carefully stored for next summer. Hope the circle lasts over the winter because the pool will be going back in the same place!

Hubby and I have been welcoming in the cooler weather (and less brutal sunshine) with walks and hikes back to all our old familiar haunts. This day we made the 4 mile trek over the Hudson River via a re gentrified railroad bridge called Walkway Over The Hudson. This used to be an old railroad bridge that has been recently turned into a walkway. Bikes and dogs are allowed (on leash!) and wearing a mask is mandatory despite being outside. Hey! It’s New York. We’ve been through enough. Our covid rate is below 1% and they want to keep it that way!
