My sister-in-law died yesterday. It was through a surgery complication. What would have been a simple operation (she had a broken leg) turned into a nightmare. A few months ago my SIL had and recovered from Covid-19. What was not known was that her lungs had been affected. When she underwent this recent surgery, she never fully recovered from the anesthesia. The medical team couldn’t recover her breathing. Or her blood pressure. Eventually she was intubated where she later passed away. It was fast and it was quick.
It’s hard for me to imagine that when last she and I spoke we were discussing my brother’s death. Little did either of us know that one of us would soon be dead ourselves within the next few months. That is why I implore everyone to toss aside your differences and please be kind to each other. This has been a cruel world for all of us lately and we can not predict the future. All I know is that we need to be kind to one another. We are all that we have.
My SIL leaves behind two daughters and four grand children. She was the kindest, sweetest person I had ever known. She always had a kind word for everyone, never spoke ill of anyone and was always concerned for everyone around her. She always had a smile on her face. May she rest in peace.
