Maryland has lots of hiking trails BUT they leave much to be desired. We were fortunate to have one located right in our RV park so we didn’t have to travel much to find it and hike it. Granted it’s true that the early spring season doesn’t show much greenery on the trails. Nonetheless, the trails were hard to maneuver and not that scenic. I have attached a photo of a recent hike we took. Everything was brown. Including the river that we were walking along. Very strange.

The most bizarre point was the steps either leading down to the trail or up from the hike. They were composed of mostly heavy/thick tree roots. You had to cross over them with your foot held sideways otherwise you could break an ankle or fall.

In any event, we hiked. We walked. We talked. We had a good time.
