John Dutton is the name of the main character in the new hit world streaming series, Yellowstone. John Dutton is played by Academy Award winning Kevin Costner, who has the character of the largest ranch land owner in America down perfectly. When I first heard of this new streaming series I didn’t think much of it. Till I saw the first episode (for free, I might add. click here to watch). Then I got hooked. Just like the rest of America (and probably the world).

The media describes the plot of Yellowstone as this: Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders – land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park.

That’s just partially true. The reason why this series has caught the hearts and minds of many American viewers is because the battle within Yellowstone’s plot is really a battle we all are facing now. We’re worried about our homes, our property, our land, our lives, our health, how we are going to put food on the table, gas in the car tank, or how we are going to heat our homes this winter and how unforeseen forces, like a government or a large corporation plots and connives its way into taking whatever is ours, away.

I think many Americans have come to the rightful conclusion that if they are going to keep whatever it is they have already secured, they are going to have to fight for it. Not so much in the way it is done on the Yellowstone Ranch, but in whatever way many Americans feel they can possibly do it.

There is a battle facing many of us. We’re not feeling it now because we’re in Holiday La La Land. But come January, when all those bills come due and we won’t have the means to pay them, we’re going to get a full scale reckoning.

If you don’t know what I am talking about, I would highly recommend you watch the free episode of Yellowstone (click here) and then sign up for at least a one month subscription to Peacock and pay the $4.99 for the month (click here) and start binge watching. When you catch up to Season 4, you have to switch to a new provider. Paramount Plus carries the last season, (click here). Production works for Season Five is already underway.

Forget about George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. Yellowstone is the real story about America and its founding fathers. It’s all about the land, our freedom, our way of life, living without corrupt politicians manipulating on how we live or can live, a corrupt government and its schemes to raise your taxes so high you can never again afford a home or anything else of your own. Yellowstone is about the ruthless and the repulsive ethics Corporate America schemes and plots to take away your very basic human rights.

A successful series in streaming land?

You betcha!
