Say what you want about New York City (it’s a hell hole!) but travel to upstate New York (above Westchester County) and you are in a whole new world with new rules, new laws, new (cheaper) costs, affordable living and a whole new beautiful slant on life. No one talks about it (which in a way is good!) but the Hudson Valley (which is the most visited community of all travel choices) is a plethora of rivers, lakes, streams, quaint little towns, hiking and biking trails, fabulous restaurants and the world renown Walkway Over The Hudson bridge.

We live just north of this area but frequent it quite often. We’ll be at under the Walkway (free of charge) July 4th to see the great fireworks display over the historic Hudson River.
