Our electricity is down. A simple storm knocked us out. No restoration given. No crew has yet arrived on the scene. Can you imagine if I had an EV? You need coal mines to keep the electricity flowing. Insane.
Stay tuned.

Power outages are tough. Glad you have a generator. A gas powered car is in the same boat as a EV during a widespread outage, the pumps at gas stations rely on electricity to operate. No electricity, no gas.

Exactly. EV consumes electricity. Electricity is made, mostly, by fossil fuels….

Janette, and people used to call ME crazy? China has recently built over 265 coal mines and counting. India is doing the same and these two countries are the largest polluters by far. What insanity. And what about the EV batteries? Biggest polluters on the planet!! Where do the old batteries go to ‘die’?

Hi Cindi, There’s going to be periods of thunderstorms throughout the Northeast breaking the heat wave today.! Yea! Maybe that’s why they have no timeline for your electricity to be back. Hope it’s soon for you. Sincerely, Lara

Sorry your power is out. I remember the ice storm in Maine in 1998 my oldest children were small, we didn’t have for WEEKS.
